Senior DevOps Engineering – Architecture & Testing(m/f/d)
For an international customer we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineering – Architecture & Testing (f/m/d).
Your tasks will be:
- Architectural Expertise & Compliance Implementation
– Definition of architectural standards for integration, system, and end-to-end testing within the onprem
& Cloud DevOps ecosystem.
– Assessment of short-term and long-term technical impacts of architectural decisions.
– Translating regulatory and cybersecurity requirements—especially NIS2—into technical controls,
guardrails, and operational procedures.
– Introduce secure-by-design principles across DevOps processes and tooling. In particular, provide
guidance concerning test environments, pipelines, and data handling for integration tests comply
with regulatory and security requirements.
- Toolchain Rationalization & Modernization
– Provision of tool rationalization initiatives to reduce complexity, redundancy, and compliance
overhead.
– Assessment and rationalization of integration testing frameworks, test orchestration tools, and
environment provisioning mechanisms.
– Consult on lifecycle governance, versioning, and compatibility of DevOps tools according to enterprise
standards.
– Define reference patterns for integrating testing tools into enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
- Automation & Operational Excellence
– Implementation and extension of automation across CI/CD, deployment workflows, and
infrastructure operations.
– Deliver monitoring/logging/alerting/observability blueprints and configurations for DevOps tools,
including documentation and handover.
– Design, document and improve operational processes (e.g., incident response playbooks, backup
concepts, access management procedures, capacity planning methods) and support implementation
through automation and templates; execution remains with the Client’s operational teams. Provide
guidance towards high availability, stability, and security of critical DevOps services.
Alignment with Enterprise Private Cloud and Cloud Services
– Consult diverse Enterprise Private Cloud teams of the Client to ensure interoperability between
on-prem and cloud environments.
– Based on that, provide suggestions for guardrails, operating model designs, and security
configurations across hybrid environments.
– The goal of the consultancy is to enable the Client cross-environment integration testing spanning
on-prem and cloud-based components.
- Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer
– Gather information and needs via defined interfaces and a designated point of contact to ensure
consistent integration of DevOps and testing standards.
– Provision of documentation and reference implementations for integration testing patterns.
– Delivering structured documentation as a hand-over to internal operational teams.
Following know-how is required:
- Operating DevOps toolchains in large-scale onprem and hybrid environments.
- Integration, system, and end-to-end testing concepts within CI/CD pipelines.
- Azure DevOps (Cloud and Server/On-Premise): pipelines, repos, artifacts, boards, agent pools.
- SonarQube: configuration, enterprise-scale integration with CI/CD pipelines.
- Integration of quality gates and test results into DevOps governance.
- Monitoring, observability, and operational safeguard designs.
- Security and compliance frameworks, including NIS2, ISO27001, or comparable standards.

The service ensures:
- – Design, documentation, and implementation of DevOps architecture components.

- – Coordination across multiple enterprise teams and platforms
Deliverables
- – Reference architectures and standards for integration and system testing.

- – NIS2-aligned controls integrated into DevOps workflows and toolchains.
- – Documented integration testing patterns integrated into DevOps workflows.
- – Regular service reports covering progress, risks, and operational KPIs.
- – Knowledge transfer and documentation for long-term internal maintainability.
